My Favorites

Often, when I discuss my writing with others, they ask me to point out my favorite poems or stories, which ones I’d choose to add to a publication or collect in a book. It is difficult to choose one or two from the many I have written. My body of work spans years. Each poem and each story is unique to the time, experience, and circumstances that inspired it. To answer the question, I must pause and consider which piece still carries unique value for me beyond the time it was conceived. Which of them do I like for other reasons? Sentiment is a good point, and which one do I identify with most? To that end, I created the following list, which is presented in no particular order. I may also update it from time to time.
